To respond to population growth and increased housing demand in Queensland, Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) is identifying areas of land for priority development. It aims to increase housing supply by streamlining and accelerating planning and approval processes. In doing this, EDQ and local governments need to consider community needs beyond housing, including access to essential services such as electricity, water, and transport.
