The Minister for the Environment and Tourism, Minister for Science and Innovation requested QAO consider conducting an audit of the Advance Queensland program. The Minister noted concerns about the program’s effectiveness, governance and value for money.

This report will outline our assessment of the processes implemented for monitoring the delivery of the Advance Queensland program since it commenced in 2015–16. This includes governance arrangements for monitoring allocated funding and achievement of objectives at a whole-of-government level.
