This report provides an update on how the government’s move to the new Performance Management Framework and associated legislative reforms contribute to and enhance entities accountability to Parliament.

The objective of this performance management system audit was:

  • of the six Government Owned Corporations and Central agencies previously audited, to assess their achievements in implementing the audit recommendations contained in Auditor-General Report to Parliament No. 2 for 2006
  • to assess the extent to which current reforms to legislation and the new Performance Management Framework address audit recommendations made in Auditor-General’s reports to Parliament since 2005 on performance management and reporting
  • to identify better practice to illustrate how agency’s performance management systems can transition to the Performance Management Framework.
