This report, prepared under section 62 of the Auditor General Act 2009, is the second of two reports dealing with our performance audit of the right of private practice arrangements in the public health system.

In conducting the audit, we pursued three lines of inquiry to determine if:

• the intended health and financial benefits of the scheme are being realised
• the scheme is being administered efficiently
• practitioners are participating in the scheme with probity and propriety and in full compliance with their contractual conditions

The first report deals with systemic issues that arise from the first two lines of inquiry.

This second and final report examines whether senior medical officers in Queensland Health are participating in the scheme with probity and propriety and in full compliance with their contractual conditions
