Manager Human Resources
As the Manager Human Resources you are accountable for managing and delivering the HR operational functions including recruitment and selection, employment conditions, technical HR advice, employee and industrial relations, workforce reporting, case management and workplace health and safety.
You will both manage and provide hands on delivery of services and advice to a range of stakeholders including contributing to the future employment framework for QAO.

Undergraduate Auditor
A QAO undergraduate position is an opportunity to start a rewarding and versatile professional services career in a close-knit and supportive team.
We are looking for committed university students to join our Undergraduate Auditor program. You have a choice of commencing in October 2023 or February 2024. The program offers the opportunity to work part-time, gain valuable experience while studying towards your degree, and receive dedicated mentoring, training, and support.
As an Undergraduate Auditor, and depending on your discipline, you will assist teams with the completion of financial and assurance audits, information systems audits, or the implementation of data analytics solutions for our clients.

Senior Advisor Learning and Development
Learning and Development is recognised as a key function at QAO. We support the development of all staff, with a particular focus on the internal technical development of auditors. Our L&D Refresh Project provides a unique opportunity to make a difference.
As Senior L&D Advisor you will:
- manage the graduate development program
- organise and manage the training blocks twice a year
- facilitate and support performance management program
- provide specialist advice on non-technical programs i.e., eLearning, in house delivery or sourcing external providers
- coordinate the development and implementation of appropriate program structures; learning design, delivery, assessment and evaluation approaches for training
- liaise with stakeholders i.e. training providers, tertiary institutions and facilitators to ensure that L&D requirements are appropriately sourced, provided and evaluated
- manage administration, budget, record keeping and reporting
- identify processes and tools for efficiency and effectiveness of L&D service delivery
- supervise L&D Support Officer, to ensure deliverables are met.

You should have experience in a similar role with a demonstrated background in managing stakeholder relationships and an eye for detail.
This is a permanent role based in Brisbane with a flexible and hybrid way of working.

Communications Officer
Would you like to make a real difference to the lives of others while enjoying the benefits of a permanent role, as part of a supportive team?
No 2 days are the same as our communications officer. One day you’ll be tabling an Auditor-General report in parliament, and the next coordinating a client event, proofreading a blog post, or managing an agency to deliver data visualisations for our website.
If you have exceptional attention to detail, an interest in learning digital communication tools, and like building relationships with others across the business, this is the role for you.
This is a permanent role with a flexible and hybrid way of working.
Your tasks include:
- coordinating the production and tabling (publishing) of reports to parliament, including working closely with audit teams on timelines and proofreading final documents
- writing engaging promotional materials for our website, email subscribers, social media channels, and more
- uploading content on our website and intranet site
- editing and proofreading blog posts, fact sheets and presentations
- managing events for our clients both in-house and at external venues
- designing icons and graphics for our publications using Word, PowerPoint, Adobe and Canva
- assisting the Communications Director in their provision of communications strategy, corporate publications such as our annual report, campaigns, and strategic guidance for executive management
- multi-tasking to complete a variety of tasks at any one time
- bringing new ideas to our team on how we can share the insights from our work.
