As an integrity agency, we are the proper authority to receive disclosures about financial waste and mismanagement in the public sector.

Complaints about QAO conduct

We are also the proper authority to receive disclosures about the conduct of our workforce—our staff and contractors.

You can submit this type of disclosure via our website, by emailing qao@qao.qld.gov.au, or by writing to the Auditor-General, PO Box 15396, City East 4002.

Internal QAO disclosures

We also receive internal disclosures from our staff about matters related to QAO. We encourage the use of our internal complaints process before making a public interest disclosure, but this option is available to our staff at any time. If you are a QAO staff member, then you can submit this type of disclosure by contacting the DirectorHuman Resources.

When handling disclosures, we collect personal information for the purpose of responding to or investigating matters raised. The information we collect will be managed in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009. We will not provide your personal information to a third party without your consent, unless it is required to be provided to the Queensland Police Service or another law enforcement agency. The content of your submission may be disclosed to other agencies in accordance with the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 or section 53 of the Auditor-General Act 2009.
